Scuba Dive Koh Lipe with DJL Diving

DJL Diving Blog - Koh Lipe

DJL Koh Lipe is open for business and ready to take you

scuba diving again!

Dive Boats:

Our traditional hardwood Chao Ley boat has been lovingly

refurbished for the season. This hand crafted boat is the perfect

way to enjoy a relaxing dive trip through the beauty of the

Tarutao national park. The timbers of the front deck ad side rails

have been replaced, the hull fully re-caulked and varnished, the

Yanmar marine diesel engine fitted, solar electrical system

installed and sun canopy resprayed.. it's ready to go diving!

In addition to our wooden boat November 2016 sees the arrival of our high speed rigid inflatable. With a fiberglass hull, hypalon sponsons and 200 horsepower of spanking new Yamaha outboard motor, this speed boat will get you to the most remote dive sites in the area in a matter of minutes. This boat will provide fast access to the best dive sites, ideal for groups of more experienced divers to explore the park.

Dive Courses & Training:

This year we have achieved the PADI rating of five star IDC. The highest PADI rating of any

dive school on the island. This means we can offer training to all levels up to and including

instructor levels. If you're interested in becoming a PADI professional divemaster or instructor

on one of the world’s most beautiful islands get in touch.

There are only 53 PADI Platinum rated course directors in the world, and DJL is proud to boast

two of them. From our world renowned 5* CDC on Koh Tao, Guy Corsellis or Peter Nieuwhoff

will be hosting our Instructor Developent Courses on Koh Lipe this year.

New for 2016 we now offer technical diving courses. Interested in learning to dive using

multiple tanks beyond the limits of recreational diving, we offer a range of courses to suit you.

School manager Ed Bosworth is our technical diving instructor. Contact us for more info.

ANDI rebreather instructor, veteran wreck hunter and DJL proprietor, Timothy Lawrence is

also expected to be spending much of the season on the island. Let us know if you would like

more information about training for the AP Valves Inspiration or Evoloution rebreathers.

With one of Thailand’s most interesting technical wrecks, The Yong Hua on our doorstep DJL is your natural choice for technical diving in Thailand. We are adding continuous and partial pressure nitrox blending systems this season allowing us to blend the gas you need up to 100% oxygen.
